Bringing Bugs Back to LIFE!

Last week saw a gathering of invertebrate experts and LIFE partners from across Europe getting together in Stirling to celebrate bugs.

The EcoCoLIFE project was delighted to host the EU LIFE platform meeting, and to share all the great things that have been happening in Scotland and in LIFE projects across the UK and Europe to benefit invertebrates.  We heard about Taseo the sniffer dog hunting down rare deadwood beetles, discussed how dandelions are one of the most valuable flowering plants in urban areas, learned of the many ways to create artificial habitats for invertebrates of all kinds, witnessed Rowanbank theatre company's acrobactic circus for wildlife show - and discussed how vital bugs are for people and the functioning of our ecosystems.

Thanks to all who contributed and made the conference so bug-tastic!
